LIVING SPACES

For its 2nd edition, CAFÉ is introducing the Living Spaces! What is a Living Space, you say? Well, it’s a place to relax, discuss, network, or work between 2 conferences, but also to meet some of our partners. The Living Spaces are accessible to all ticket holders and the opening hours are from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on both days of the event.

Meet up with the members of our industry 

The Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC), will present its program Rolling Green which is dedicated to environmentally responsible audiovisual production in Québec. Take this opportunity to learn more about sustainability in VFX. 

VES Montreal, the Montréal chapter of the renowned Visual Effects Society, will be in attendance! Stop by their booth to learn more about the organization and its various services.

Callisto Protocol, a blood-curdling experience 

Rodeo FX has in store for you an immersive and Dantesque experience at CAFÉ 2023. The installation will place visitors in a scan simulation in front of a screen that recreates their silhouette in the form of a skeleton, following their every move. However, is there something behind this artifice?

The Partner Stage

Come learn from experts from the industry’s most influential companies. Our partner’s conferences and panels will cover various topics such as the visual effects work done by Raynault VFX on the television series The Old Man, Hybride company’s culture, the techniques used by A.A Studios to reproduce the appalling train disaster in Lac Mégantic, the exploration of the dynamic collaboration between Rodeo FX and AfroVFX, how to build strong relationships through constructive criticism, and much more!

The coffee break 

What would CAFÉ be without coffee? The coffee stand is back for the 2023 edition! From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., stop by to enjoy a delicious free drink and get your dose of energy!  

The Education Zone 

The Education Zone presented by SYNTHÈSE will include an exhibition of students’ works, in collaboration with ArtStation and many educational institutions, preparation activities designed for students, including mock interviews, in partnership with Rhum RH, as well as several panels where seasoned professionals will give their best advice on finding a first job in the visual effects and animation sector.

The Booth Crawl 

Presented by A.A studios, Hybride, SYNTHÈSE, and Raynault VFX, the Booth Crawl will take place on May 16th and 17th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This is the perfect moment to come and meet your peers over a drink courtesy of our partners!
